November View Veteran Housing

Design Concept:

November View Veteran Housing will be located on the corner of Wilshire Boulevard and Flower Street near Skid Row in Los Angeles, California. This location suits the mission of veteran housing because it will allow the thousands of veterans living in Skid Row to access our services. Additionally, U.S. Vets, a veteran organization that assists veterans with occupation services, is right down the block of our location. 

November View will support homeless veterans of any age, gender, or mental state. The interior will feel warm and welcoming with positively charged colors and graphics. A modern layout with plenty of light will be incorporated while organic textures and shapes fill the interior to keep it feeling soft and sheltered.

Materials used in November View will be recycled and reusable to increase sustainability of the building. Additionally, wellness of the interiors will be addressed through air quality, daylighting, and accessibility. The design will follow ADA guidelines to ensure each veteran feels that they are at home when they arrive at November View.
